Mr. Roy A. Pepperdine, age 60, of Cobb County, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Roy was born in Chicago, Illinois in October 1960 and was raised in Powder Springs, GA. He was the son of the late Robert E. Pepperdine and the late Esther F. Pepperdine.
Roy attended McEachern High School, in Powder Springs, GA. He later worked for Schwinn Sales South, where he had been a member of their BMX team in his youth. He later worked as a licensed sales agent for Coldwell Banker and dealt in land acquisitions and development for Masterpiece Communities.
On Roy’s entrepreneurial side, he dealt in foreclosed properties and appeared on Dave Del Dotto infomercials, and the Phil Donahue Show during that time. He also built residential homes under the name of West Star Properties, Inc. After he retired from the building business, he started Custom Signature Gold Carts and customized golf carts. “From Mild to Wild”, which was his slogan.
In Roy’s younger years, he had a passion for bull riding and won an American Cowboy Rodeo Association (ACRA) buckle. He also loved to travel to any destination that included the sand and sun.
Roy had been residing at Anderson Mill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Austell, GA, since June 4, 2011.
Roy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Suzanne Pepperdine; sister, Robin Roberts; niece, Michele Offutt, and her two children Aiden and Asher; and niece, Lauren Roberts.
A private burial will be held at Paulding Memorial Gardens.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, American Parkinson’s Disease Association, or Parkinson’s Foundation.
